An exhibition of photos taken at 1800s in India are being conducted by Getty Image at London in relation to the 70 anniversary of India's Independence. Most of these images were taken in the middle of the 1800s after the first war of Independence. Taken by photographers like Samuel Bourne and Felice Beato, these images helped generate interest about India in the western world. The pictures also give a glimpse of the life of nineteenth century India.
